Hello dear readers!
Today we are going to improve our reading skills.
The main aim of this activity is to improve our reading skills, through these other aims:
- To read some short phrases.
- To reflect on the meaning of what is read.
- To know how to relate different words in a whole phrase.
- To improve the reading comprehension.
This activity has been designed for 6th of primary (11-12 years old), and it is called Discover the character.
The material we need to carry it out are: a computer with internet connection.
Let's see the steps we need to follow:
1. We create an activity with Genially. There are some clues and students have to discover what famous character they are referred to:

2. We divide the students in groups of 4, and they compete to see who can guess the hidden character. The first group to get it right, wins 1 point.
3. The group with more points is the winner of the game, and we can give them a reward, like some stickers.
We can add all the characters we want to the game.

Good afternoon Cristina ! I liked how you designed your reading activity. Genially is an online resource that allows us to create a lot of different activities that can encourage students to participate and be motivated towards the subject. To discover a character can be quite fun, as there are many people that children can choose from, and they can have fun working in groups while trying to guess who the hidden character is. We have played this some times in class and it was always a lot of fun !
